Heavily influenced by primitive art whilst incorporating distinctive traits of Medieval paintings, the Totem series (that spans from 2007 to 2011) is placed in urban and industrial decayed areas, as if the viewer is intentionally projected into ancient ruins.
The choice of a narrow colour palette has been motivated by the need of an immediate recognisability and it can be considered as the starting point for the majority of future outdoor and studio works based on hands gestures.
